Thumbnails, and I care about the click rather than the picture. What that means is that I start from the title and the promise of the video, not from the footage: a good thumbnail and a good title are one idea, and a beautiful image against the wrong title does nothing. I usually send three directions for a video, and I will tell you which one I think is right and why. If you A/B test, I will read the results with you and we will stop doing whatever is losing. Photoshop for the work, Midjourney for backgrounds and elements that would otherwise be a stock-photo hunt. Faces I shoot or source properly; I do not put an AI face on a real channel.
