How to use this

How the overlap is worked out
Both working days are converted to the same instant line, and the overlap is the part they share. Manila is fixed at GMT+8, so its side never moves; your side is read from your zone’s CURRENT offset, which is why a reader in a place that observes daylight saving sees a different answer in January and in July.
A window that runs past midnight is handled as a window, not as an error. Working 21:00 to 05:00 Manila time is the ordinary shape of this market rather than an edge case, and the arithmetic treats it as one continuous run.
No daylight saving, and why that is worth knowing
The Philippines does not change its clocks. An overlap you agree in March is the same overlap in October, and neither side has to remember to shift it twice a year.
That is one-sided: if your own country does observe daylight saving, your shared hours move when your clocks move, not when theirs do. Worth saying out loud at the start of an arrangement, because the side that changes is the side that has to raise it.
What this cannot tell you
