How to use this
- Fill in who it is from and who it is to. Both addresses appear on the document, because an invoice that does not say who sent it is hard to pay and harder to file.
- Add a line per thing you are billing for, with a quantity and a rate. The totals follow as you type.
- Set the invoice number, the date and when payment is due. A number that runs in order is what makes a set of invoices auditable later.
- Say how you want to be paid, in words: the bank details or the payment link. Nothing here talks to a payment provider.
- Download the PDF. Nothing is stored, so keep your own copy.
What a Philippine freelance invoice usually carries
Who it is from and who it is to, with addresses; a number and a date; a description of the work with quantities and rates; the total, in the currency you agreed; when payment is due; and how to pay. That is the document, and it is the same document whether the client is in Manila or Munich.
Two things are worth being deliberate about. The CURRENCY should be the one you agreed, stated once and not converted for politeness: a converted total invites an argument about which rate applied on the day. And the invoice NUMBER should run in order without gaps, because a set of invoices with holes in it is the first thing anybody reviewing your books will ask about.
This makes a document, not a record
Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and there is no account. Close the tab and the invoice is gone, so the PDF you download is the only copy.
That is fine for one invoice and gets thin fast: what it cannot do is remember what you have already billed, tell you what is unpaid, number the next one for you, or give the client somewhere to say they have paid. Those are the things that turn invoices into a record, and they are what invoicing inside a hiring platform is for.
What this cannot tell you
It is not tax advice and it does not know your tax position. Whether you charge VAT or percentage tax, what your registration requires on the face of the document, and what you owe are all questions for the BIR or an accountant.
It also never touches money. There is no payment provider behind it: the payment details are text you type and the client reads.
Questions
- Is anything saved?
- No. The form lives in your browser for as long as this tab is open, and the download is one request that renders the file and throws the input away. There is no account, no draft to come back to, and nothing on our side to leak or lose. Close the tab and it is gone.
- Is there a watermark or a logo on it?
- No watermark. The footer says the invoice was made with a free tool on RemoteHire.ph and that we are not a party to it, which is true and is the only mark on the file. The document itself is your name, their name and your lines.
- Which currency can I invoice in?
- Any currency the rest of the site supports; the list on the form is the whole answer. The symbol and the number formatting follow the one you pick; no conversion happens, because an invoice is denominated in the currency it is written in and re-quoting it in another would make it look like an estimate.
- Can I use this for a client who is not on this site?
- Yes. That is what it is for. It has no idea who either party is and asks for nothing beyond what goes on the page.
- What if I want the invoice to keep a record of itself?
- Then you want an account rather than a tool. Freelancers on RemoteHire.ph get invoicing with numbering that cannot collide, a client who can mark it paid, and a record of what was sent when, and it is free for them like everything else here.
