I work in QuickBooks and Xero and I am equally happy in whichever one you already have. If your books have not been touched in a while, say so at the start: a clean-up is a different job from a monthly close and I would rather quote it as one. What you get every month is a closed set of books, a short note on anything I could not categorise without asking, and no surprises.
