I have edited more than three hundred faceless YouTube videos, mostly finance, some documentary-style history. Faceless is its own craft. There is no presenter to carry a dull thirty seconds, so the pacing, the sound design and the timing of what appears on screen are doing all of the work. I write my own B-roll list from the script before I open a timeline, and I keep a library of what I have already sourced for a channel so the second month is faster than the first. Send a script and a voiceover and you will get a first cut inside three working days. I keep my project files tidy enough that somebody else could open them, which matters more than people think.
