Medical virtual assistant. Appointment setting, transcription, patient follow-up and the admin around a small practice. I am HIPAA-aware and I work like it: I do not keep patient information anywhere it does not belong, I use whatever secure system the practice already has rather than asking to move to mine, and I say when I am not sure. In this work being careful is more useful than being quick. Transcription is what I am fastest at, and accuracy matters more to me than speed. If a word is unclear I flag it rather than guessing, because a guess in a medical note is worse than a gap.
