I do the books for small agencies and online shops. Monthly close, reconciliation, invoices out, bills categorised, and a clean handover to whoever does your tax. Online stores are the ones people underestimate. Payouts arrive net of fees, refunds land in a different month from the sale, and if that is not set up properly the revenue line is wrong all year. I set it up properly. I am straightforward about scope: if your books need a clean-up before a monthly service makes sense, I will say so and quote the two things separately.
