I am a marketing generalist, which in a small company usually means I am the marketing department. In a given month that has been: writing the emails, briefing a designer, keeping the blog going, setting up the landing page, and working out from the numbers which of those was worth doing. I am better at the writing than at the design, and I would rather bring in somebody good than pretend otherwise. I work with founders who need somebody to own marketing rather than somebody to do one task. That means I will ask you what the business actually needs before I ask what you want posted.
