Where this comes from

European Central Bank daily reference rate, as of 11 Aug 2026. Published around 16:00 CET on business days. The ECB quotes both currencies against the euro; the figure above is those two rates divided.

These are reference rates. RemoteHire.phshows the European Central Bank’s daily reference rate for information only. It is not an offer to exchange money, no rights can be derived from it, and a bank or remittance service will pay out less than this rate after its own margin and fees.

Questions

Where does this rate come from?
The European Central Bank publishes reference rates for around 30 currencies every business day at about 16:00 CET. The ECB quotes both NZD and PHP against the euro, so the new zealand dollar to philippine peso rate here is those two figures divided, the same arithmetic every other reference does.
Is this the rate I will actually be paid at?
No, and nothing that shows you a single number is. Banks, remittance services and payment platforms each apply their own spread and their own fees, so the amount that lands in an account is always somewhat below the reference rate. Use this to compare offers and to budget, then check the fee with whoever moves the money. At the rate above, NZ$100 is about ₱3597.22.
Why does the chart not move on Saturdays?
Because the ECB does not publish on weekends or on TARGET holidays. Rather than draw a line through days that had no rate, the chart holds the last published one and the tooltip tells you which day it is showing.
How often does this page update?
Once per business day, shortly after the ECB publishes. The date under the rate is the ECB's own reference date, not the time we fetched it: a Saturday fetch of Friday's file says Friday.
What do freelancers on RemoteHire.ph charge?
Rates are set by each freelancer in pesos and shown to hirers in their own currency at the rate on this page. Most sit between ₱150 and ₱600 an hour; the directory filters by band, so you can see the range for yourself before you talk to anyone.
