Reviews

Who can leave one, what it shows, and what to do about one that is wrong.

Who can write one

A client you have worked with: an engagement with them that is active or finished. That rule is the same predicate the rest of the product uses for "have these two worked together", so there is no second definition to drift.

A client whose plan has ended can still write one. Somebody reviewing finished work after their subscription lapsed is the system working, not a hole.

What a review shows

A rating, what they wrote, and a signature: their first name, and whether they are a company or an individual.

Not their company name. A named company on a public profile would be the first public exposure of a named client anywhere here, and it would disclose the working relationship itself.

The composer shows a client that signature before they write anything, so nobody is surprised by how they appear.

What it does not affect

Your profile score. Nothing a client does can lower it, and a review is not an input to it. That is a contract the score keeps, not an oversight.

An empty profile shows nothing

A profile with no reviews renders no reviews section at all, not an empty box with a heading. An empty reviews box on somebody's page reads as a strike against them.

If a review is wrong

You can report it, and only you can: it is about you. See reporting a problem.

The author can delete their own review. A review we have removed for moderation cannot be deleted and re-posted clean by its author: that would make moderation launderable, and the author cannot resubmit over it either.
