Client or freelancer

One account is one side of the marketplace. What that means, and what to do if you picked the wrong one.

When you sign up you choose a side: hiring, or looking for work. That choice decides what the product is for you, and it cannot be switched afterwards.

Why one account is one side

Every screen after signup differs. A client sees a directory of people, a job board they post to, and applicants. A freelancer sees a job board they apply to, a profile editor, and their own hours and invoices. There is no screen where both make sense at once, so an account that tried to be both would be an account that was half wrong everywhere.

It also matters for the parts that involve another person. An offer of work has a side that makes it and a side that accepts it; a review has somebody writing and somebody written about. Those are not roles you can hold simultaneously with the same person.

What each side gets

Client, free: the full directory with every filter, saved lists and folders, private notes on people you are considering, and the comparison table. You can also write a job post and preview it.

Client, Premium: everything above, plus contact details, messaging, publishing your job so freelancers can apply, invitations, calls, offers, contracts, hours approval and invoices. Up to five people on one subscription.

Freelancer: all of it, free. A profile, applications, messaging, calls, contracts, a calendar for your hours, invoices and payment methods. Nothing is behind a payment, because freelancers never pay here.

If you picked the wrong side

Sign up again with a different email address. We cannot convert an account from one side to the other: the two are different tables with different data, and a conversion would mean discarding everything on one of them and pretending the other had always been there.

If the account you want to abandon has nothing on it, you can leave it; if you would rather it were gone, ask us and we will remove it.
