Team seats
Five people on one subscription, what each can do, and how invitations work.
One Premium subscription covers up to five people including you, at no extra cost per person.
Roles and permissions
A role is a preset that fills in a set of switches. It is not a second enforcement layer: what somebody can do is decided by the switches, so a role you have adjusted still shows its label and still tells the truth about what that person can do.
Twelve permissions, in four groups: talent, jobs, working together, and account. Everything else a seat can do is baseline: browsing, saving, messaging, reporting, writing and publishing job posts, inviting people to apply, arranging calls, and reading hours and contracts.
What is owner-only, whatever the switches say
- Ending an engagement
- Every contract transition: sending, signing
- Marking an invoice paid
- Writing a review
- Inviting and removing people
- The company profile, and billing
Those are the actions that either commit the account to something or cannot be undone by the person they happen to.
Inviting somebody
Settings → Team → Invite. They get an email with a link. Signing up from that link puts them on your account in the same step: the seat is redeemed as part of creating the account, so there is no state where somebody has an account that belongs to no team and cannot join one.
Your company name has to be set before you can invite anybody: the invitation names the team somebody is joining, and a blank there is an invitation to nothing.
Invitations keep their history. Somebody you asked a week ago and never heard from stays on the list rather than vanishing, so there is a record of having asked. "Send again" issues a new link and kills the old one, which is the only honest reading of sending it again.
What a team shares
One inbox. A conversation belongs to the account, and read state is account-wide: "unread" means the freelancer wrote something nobody on your side has opened. Saved lists, folders and private notes are shared the same way.
Removing somebody
Immediate and complete: the seat goes and their sessions end. Nothing they wrote is deleted, and they land on a page explaining what happened with one way forward on the same login: starting their own account.
Leaving and ownership
The owner cannot leave the account or hand it to somebody else in the current version. If you need that, ask us.
