The search field
Type a skill, a tool or an industry and press space on an exact name to turn it into a filter chip. Chips combine: two tools means somebody who has both, not either. Anything you have not turned into a chip is searched as text against headlines.
If you do not know the exact name, open Filters and pick from the lists. That is the discoverable path, and it is the reason the search field does not guess: a dropdown of suggestions that fires on every keystroke was noisier than it was useful.
Filters
One panel, six groups, in the order people fill them: rate, availability, verification, expertise, languages and sort. The button shows how many filters are active, so a filter set inside a group you have collapsed is never invisible.
