Finding and applying to jobs

The board

Every published job, filterable by employment type. There is no pay filter and there cannot be one: pay is behind the verification gate, and a public filter on it would leak exactly what the gate is for.

Saving a job works like saving a person: a bookmark, and folders if you want them.

What verification changes

Without a verified ID, a job post shows you its title, description, employment type, hours a week, and whether the poster is a company or an individual.

Applying

Three things: a title for your application, an intro, and an answer to each of the client's screening questions.

The title is the line that distinguishes you in the client's queue, where every other row shares the job's own title. It is the most useful sentence on the form.

The intro caps at 500 words, and that limit is enforced rather than suggested.

Your application lands in your conversation with that client as a card, with your intro quoted inside it, so it is one thing in the record rather than a card and a loose paragraph.

Requirements, matched

A job's required skills, tools and industries are shown in three labelled groups, with a line under each saying how many of them are already on your profile. It is a count, not a bar and not a percentage, and it is never on the Apply button's path: it tells you something, it does not gate anything.

Your applications

`/me/applications` lists what you sent, which job, who posted it, when, and a way back into the conversation.

It does not tell you whether the client has looked. Three of the four statuses it used to show were facts about somebody else's attention published back to the person waiting, and "viewed a week ago and nothing since" is worse than nothing.

Invitations

A client can invite you to apply to one of their jobs. It arrives in your conversation as a card with the job on it.

Declining is permanent: the confirmation says so, and they cannot invite you to that job again. That is the anti-nag position and it protects you.

If a job is paused or gone

A saved job that has left the board renders as a placeholder without a title. Once it leaves, there is genuinely no way for us to read its row, and inventing a title from a stale copy would be worse than an honest blank.
