Settings

Notifications, appearance, time zone and currency, and where each of them lives.

Settings is a tabbed page, and which tabs you get depends on which side of the marketplace you are on.

Everyone

Your account: your email address, your password, your time zone, and signed-in devices. Changing a password asks for the current one first.

Notifications: per-group switches for what reaches your notification centre. They save themselves; there is no Save button, because a preference with one value and no form around it is not a form.

Two groups cannot be switched off: account notices and moderation notices. A warning you can mute is a warning that did not happen, and an ID verdict is the one thing in this product you must not miss.

Appearance

Light, dark or system, in the account menu rather than in Settings: it is a preference people flip rather than a question answered once. It applies to the browser you set it in.

Clients

Company profile: your name, your company name, a photo, your country and your website. The website and the country are shown to ID-verified freelancers on your job posts, so they know who is hiring; nothing here is public.

Currency: every converted figure in the app is shown in the currency you choose. It changes what you see in the product only: public pages stay in US dollars, because those pages are indexed and a page that varied by a preference would be a different page for every reader.

Profile scores: a switch for whether you see freelancers' profile scores at all. Turning it off puts the verified mark back in the ring's place everywhere.

Team: the roster, invitations and per-person permissions. See team seats.

Billing: the plan, the payment provider's portal, and your charges. See billing.

Freelancers

The rate, the skills, the photo and everything else about the work live on your profile, beside the thing they change, rather than being duplicated in Settings. A second place to edit a rate is a second place for it to be wrong.

Copies this page plus a short note about what RemoteHire.ph is, so the answer is about this product rather than about hiring platforms in general. Every button copies the same text.
