Privacy and what we log

A plain summary of what is recorded and why. The privacy page is the authoritative version.

This is a summary in plain words. The privacy page is the authoritative answer and is the one to read if the two ever differ.

What is gated rather than hidden

Some things on a profile are not sent to your browser at all until you are entitled to them: a surname, contact details, a street address, link URLs, and the detail of each work-history entry. They are omitted on the server, not blurred with CSS. That is why a blurred pill on a profile has nothing real underneath it.

What is recorded about actions

Changes to data are recorded: who changed what, when, and what it was before. That is what makes a moderation decision reviewable and a mistake recoverable. Sign-ins, failed sign-ins and moderation decisions are recorded with an IP address and a browser description, because for security events the address is the point.

What is recorded about reading

  • Profile views are counted for the freelancer whose profile it is. Their

own visits are not counted.

  • Job views are counted as unique viewers per day, from a one-way hash. No

address is stored and there is no column that could hold one.

  • Searches are recorded as what was searched for, so we can see what the

market asks for and does not find. They are never assembled into a history of a person, and nothing anywhere shows who searched for what.

What we deliberately do not do

  • No screenshots, no keystroke logging, no activity scores, no camera. Not for

hours, not ever.

  • No third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
  • Reply times are measured and are shown to no client anywhere. The measurement

exists for one score rule and one platform-wide chart; it is never published as a fact about a person.

Signed-in devices

Every device you have signed in from is listed in Settings, with roughly where and when, and you can end any of them. See signed-in devices.

Ask an assistant about this

Copies this page plus a short note about what RemoteHire.ph is, so the answer is about this product rather than about hiring platforms in general. Every button copies the same text.
