Reading a profile

What is public, what a subscription unlocks, and how to read the marks and the score.

What everybody can see

A photograph, a first name, a headline, the bio, age and gender, an hourly rate in pesos with an estimate in your currency, hours a week, working hours, rated skills and tools with how long each has been used, industries, languages, whether there is a video introduction, work samples, work and education as titles and dates, which platforms they have links on, and when they joined.

What a subscription unlocks

Surname, contact email, phone number, street address, the URL of every link, each work-history entry's organisation and notes, and the work-setup list.

Those are omitted on the server rather than blurred in your browser. The blurred pills on a free account have nothing real behind them, which is why the gate is a gate rather than a decoration.

The green verified mark on the photograph means a person on our side checked a government ID. On the profile it is also written out in words, because an icon nobody has learned yet is decoration and this is the entire trust claim. See how verification works.

The ring around the photograph is the profile score, where scores are on for your account. It is a measure of how complete and how established a profile is, not a rating of the person's work. It absorbs the verified mark rather than sitting beside it, because the score already contains the check.

    Self-rated, and said so

Skills, tools and industries carry star ratings that the freelancer set themselves, and the stars answer depth of experience rather than quality. The page says so once, under the group. A tool certification is the only badge here that somebody else assessed.

    Technical stats

A typing speed is a real result from a test taken here. A connection speed is a figure the freelancer typed, with a link to the result page they took it from. We cannot fetch that page, so the link is what makes the claim checkable, by you.

    Working hours and your clock

Where a freelancer has stated the hours they keep, the profile translates them into your own time zone and works out the overlap with a nine-to-five. Where they have not, the page says it is assuming one rather than implying they told us.

    Reporting a profile

At the foot of the page, for any signed-in client. See reporting a problem.

    Ask an assistant about this

Copies this page plus a short note about what RemoteHire.ph is, so the answer is about this product rather than about hiring platforms in general. Every button copies the same text.
