Offering work

An offer states the terms you are proposing. Accepting it starts an engagement, which is the record everything else hangs off: hours, contracts and invoices.

What an offer contains

The type of work, a rate, a currency, whether the rate is hourly or monthly, an expected number of hours, and a start date.

Hourly or monthly is a real choice rather than a formality. A full-time offer is quoted monthly in this market, and forcing it into an hourly number makes you do arithmetic to say something you already knew.

The rate field starts at the freelancer's own asking price in pesos. Starting anywhere else would be the platform nudging a negotiation it has no part in.

Where it lands

In your conversation with them, as a card. It leads with the terms as a list rather than as prose, because an offer is a definition and not a message.

The card never disappears. Accepted, declined, withdrawn or ended, it stays where it was, because the conversation is a record and a card that vanishes takes the terms with it.

Accepting

Theirs to do. You can withdraw before they answer.

Accepting is deliberately not blocked by your subscription state. An offer made while you were subscribed can be accepted during a lapse; the engagement is simply born suspended and wakes up when you renew.

One live engagement per pair

You and a given freelancer can have one offered or active engagement at a time. Changing a rate is ending the current one and offering again, which keeps the hours and the invoices attached to the terms they were actually agreed under.

Re-hiring the same person later is completely normal. The lists group by person and say "2nd collaboration", with the dates of the earlier one.

Ending one

Either side, with a reason. Ending works even while a subscription has ended: blocking it would trap the freelancer, who is the party that has done nothing wrong.

Everything that happened stays. The contracts stay readable, the approved hours stay approved, and the invoices stay where they were.

Rates are never converted

Agreed terms are shown in the currency they were agreed in, on both sides, always. Converting them would make a number two people agreed on look like an estimate.
