Your verification email

The code, how long it lasts, the one-click link, and what to do if the email did not arrive.

1 min read

Signing up sends one email to the address you typed. It carries an 8-digit code, and the account is not finished until that address is confirmed.

The code

The subject line is the code, so you can often read it from your inbox list without opening anything. Type it into the eight boxes on the verification screen and you are in.

It lasts 60 minutes. After that it stops working and you need a fresh one, which the same screen will send you.

Codes are single use. If you ask for a new one, the old one stops working straight away, so always use the newest email.

The one-click button

Below the code there is a button that confirms the address and signs you in without any typing. It works in any browser, so you can sign up on a laptop and press it on your phone.

Two things are worth knowing about it. Some company email systems open links in incoming mail to check them, which can use up the button before you get to it; if that happens the site says so and the code still works. And a used button stays used, so pressing it twice is harmless but only the first press does anything.

The code and the button do the same job. Use whichever is in front of you.

If the email did not arrive

Wait a minute first. Then, in order:

  • Check the spam folder.
It is the answer most of the time, and marking the message as not spam helps the next one through.

Check the address. A typo in the address means the email went somewhere real that is not yours. The verification screen shows the address it sent to, and there is a link on it for signing in with a different account.

Ask for a new code. The screen has a button for it. It is quiet for a minute after each send, and the countdown on it is the real one rather than a guess.

Write to us. If none of that works, use the contact page and a person will read it. Say which address you signed up with.

    After it is confirmed

You go straight into setting up your account, already signed in. You will not be asked to verify that address again.

If you closed the tab somewhere in the middle, nothing is lost: log in with the email and password you chose and you will land back where you were.

    Ask an assistant about this

Copies this page plus a short note about what RemoteHire.ph is, so the answer is about this product rather than about hiring platforms in general. Every button copies the same text; most of them open the assistant with it already asked.

Gemini has no way to receive the question in a link, so that one copies and opens for you to paste.
